Water: H2O=Life explored the earth's most precious resource in an exhibition with interactive displays, live animals, global perspectives and Australia's water story. It was a timely and in-depth look at the natural and cultural sides of the fluid that underpins life.

Water was on show at the National Museum of Australia from 3 December 2009 to 16 May 2010.

Water: H2O=Life was organised by the American Museum of Natural History, New York, and the Science Museum of Minnesota, St. Paul, in collaboration with the National Museum of Australia, Canberra; Great Lakes Science Center, Cleveland; The Field Museum, Chicago; Instituto Sangari, São Paulo, Brazil; Royal Ontario Museum, Toronto, Canada; San Diego Natural History Museum; and Science Centre Singapore with PUB Singapore.
