The National Museum is currently developing a Disability Inclusion Action Plan to improve and strengthen access and inclusion across our organisation.
We are conducting a survey, and your experiences and perspectives can help us identify barriers to access and inclusion.
By listening to our audiences and learning from lived experience, we can ensure the Museum continues to be a welcoming and accessible place for everyone.
The importance of disability inclusion
By embedding diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging into every aspect of our culture, operations and leadership, we aim to remove systemic barriers faced by individuals and create sustainable change.
Recognising and valuing people’s unique lived experiences creates stronger connections and engagement between our audience, Museum staff and the work we do to bring to life the rich and diverse stories of Australia through compelling objects, ideas and events.
About the process
The Museum has appointed access consultant Morwenna Collett to assist with this process. Morwenna will be conducting a range of consultation sessions, community focus groups and surveys.
