Basket kato kafa
Humphrey No. 130: ‘a strong kind of basket made of plaited Cordage, ingeniously knotted; with 2 handles which with the end is bound with the like Cordage. ‘Tis used for carrying fish in, by the Natives of the Friendly Islands.’
The undecorated basket is made from parts of plants and has a rectangular shape. Two small handles are attached for carrying. Inken Köhler, Ulrike Rehr, Gundolf Krüger
