Humphrey No. 32: ‘A large piece of glazed Bark Cloth, the ground white, waved and lined with brown. It has a broad border, having large brown spots & stripes, from the Friendly Isles.’

The barkcloth is decorated with a pattern of diagonal and vertical brown lines. There is a white border (c. 25 cm wide) at both ends of the barkcloth. Except for a few spots and stripes consisting of parallel brown lines, this part is left undecorated. Inken Köhler, Ulrike Rehr, Gundolf Krüger
