Janine Freeman is a social equity advocate and has spent her career representing working people and their families. She has extensive governance experience, having served on not for profit and government agency boards since 1993.

Janine is the Independent Chair of Fair Food Western Australia and board member of the Water Corporation of WA, Anglicare WA and the Government Employees Superannuation Board. She is also an Advisory Member to the School of Population and Global Health, University of Western Australia. Janine is a former member of the West Australian Assembly and Assistant Secretary of UnionsWA.

Janine joined the Museum’s Council in 2024.
