This information is published in annual reports from 2018–19.

2017–18

The table below sets out the average annual reportable remuneration paid to substantive executives during the 2017–18 period. 'Executives’ are defined as all employees in positions considered to have the capacity and responsibility for decision-making that can have a significant and direct impact on the Museum's strategic direction and financial performance. Staff may be at the SES level or may be employed on similar terms and conditions.

Each row is an average figure based on all individuals in the remuneration range.

‘Reportable salary’ includes the following:

  • Gross payments (less any bonuses paid, which are disclosed in the ‘Average bonus paid’ column)
  • Reportable fringe benefits (as reported on individual PAYG payment summaries)
  • Reportable employer superannuation contributions (as reported on individual PAYG payment summaries)
  • Exempt foreign employment income.

‘Superannuation contribution’ represents employer superannuation contributions (excluding salary sacrificed amounts which are included in reportable salary).

‘Reportable allowances’ represent allowances paid (as reported on individual PAYG Payment Summaries).

‘Bonus paid’ represents bonus payments for the 2016–17 financial year where payments were made in the 2017–18 financial year.

2016–17

The table below sets out the average annual reportable remuneration paid to substantive executives during the 2016–17 period. ‘Executives’ are defined as all employees in positions considered to have the capacity and responsibility for decision-making that can have a significant and direct impact on the Museum’s strategic direction and financial performance. Staff may be at the Senior Executive Services (SES) level or may be employed on similar terms and conditions.
