Kspace takes visitors to Lake Mungo in New South Wales, 45,000 years ago. Some of the earliest evidence for people occupying the Australian continent comes from this region. This includes human remains buried as part of mortuary ritual practices, extensive sets of early human footprints, and fossils from now extinct megafauna. The eroding dunes on the now dry lake’s edge reveal a picture of an ever-changing landscape.
Using these resources
Teacher resources include creative projects, assignment questions and online activities, all linked to the Australian Curriculum. They were developed for use with our Kids learning space, where videos, photographs and background help provide answers and inspiration for students.
