Join us at the Museum
Step into the National Museum’s Christina and Trevor Kennedy Garden for a seasonal guided walk through a living collection of First Nations food and medicine plants from across Australia.
The two-hour session combines a guided garden tour with stories of Australian native plants, exploring their traditional uses, cultural significance and role in everyday life while engaging in sensory experiences and shared learning.
Each session concludes with a tasting experience, offering the opportunity to sample some of the unique native flavours found in the Kennedy Garden and from across Australia.
Suitable for ages from 6+.

Adam Shipp
Adam is a Wiradjuri man, founder of Yurbay and a skilled communicator and enthusiastic bush-food advocate. Adam prides himself on his strong work ethic. His passion for his culture and people drives him to share his abundant knowledge of the food and medicine plants.

Yurbay (‘You-ra-bi’) is the Wiradjuri word for seed. Yurbay provide services to connect people to local food and medicine plants. Yurbay offer workshops, talks and guided walks on Country.
