Visitors explored the rhythms and rituals of winter in south-east Australia.
Though far from the frozen vastness of Antarctica, south-east Australia still feels its icy breath. For some, winter sparks a spirit of adventure. For others, it draws life closer to home, to small rituals of comfort and self-care.
Drawn from the Museum’s collection, these objects showed how Australians have embraced the cold.
Winter was launched to complement the National Museum’s Antarctica exhibition.
