Hallyu! The Korean Wave arrives at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra this December, a first for Australia and the Southern Hemisphere.

See costumes and studio props from K-pop megastars aespa and Gangnam Style’s PSY, the Oscar-winning film Parasite and the hit streaming show Squid Game.

Take the K-pop dance challenge and track the evolution of this amazing, fast-growing contemporary cultural wave from Asia.

South Korean history and pop culture

Hallyu! takes visitors on a dazzling journey through movies, music, design, drama, fashion, fandom and beauty.

Hallyu! was developed by the renowned Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum in London. The exhibition features 250 objects showcasing tradition, technology and trends.

Visitors can explore the powerhouse behind Korea’s dramatic cultural transformation and the vibrant world of K-culture as it continues to sweep across genres and generations of fans.
