National Museum of Australia welcomes the appointment of Dr Janet Albrechtsen to the Museum Council

The following comment can be attributed to National Museum of Australia director, Dr Mathew Trinca:

The National Museum of Australia welcomes the appointment of Dr Janet Albrechtsen to the Museum’s Council.

As an experienced columnist with The Australian newspaper and a former member of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Board and the Foreign Affairs Council, Dr Albrechtsen brings a great depth of knowledge and skill to the position.

'I am delighted by the appointment of Dr Janet Albrechtsen to the Museum’s Council,' said National Museum director, Dr Mathew Trinca.

'Dr Albrechtsen brings wide experience in the legal and finance sectors and has a strong sense of leadership practice in public sector organisations,' said Dr Trinca.

Dr Albrechtsen’s role as Ambassador and Mentor with the Australian Indigenous Education Fund will provide the Council with valuable insights into important Indigenous issues.

'On behalf of the National Museum, I warmly welcome her to the Council and look forward to working together in the coming years,' said Dr Trinca.
