Australian Workers' Union national secretary Bill Shorten will be quizzed about his political leadership ambitions when he appears at a Talkback Classroom interview at the National Museum of Australia in Canberra this Wednesday.
Three secondary school students will question the new Labor candidate for the Federal seat of Maribyrnong on a range of topics including his pre-selection battle with Bob Sercombe, his stance on uranium mining and the impact of his increased media profile during the Beaconsfield mining rescue.
The students set who will quiz Mr Shorten are: Michael Hands, Year 12, Emmanuel College, Carrara, Queensland; Sharon Stratton, Year 12, Narrabundah College, ACT; and Grace Keyworth, Year 11, Lake Ginninderra College, ACT.
