The National Museum of Australia supplies images and audiovisual material where the Museum owns copyright. We ensure the correct use and acknowledgment of copyright, and that third party material held by the Museum is not released in error.
Make a request
Email image@nma.gov.au for image and audiovisual requests, permissions and general copyright queries. Please detail the purpose of your request, and include relevant hyperlinks and publication or reference numbers.
You can also request images via the Museum’s Collection Explorer.
We aim to provide an initial reply within 14 working days.
Pricing
See the pricing schedule for fees for the use of images and audiovisual material owned by the Museum. Requests are processed within four weeks, where possible.
The Museum reserves the right to refuse to license or to limit any use of any licensed material.
