Our work is far-flung and our aspirations are far-reaching. Donate today and be part of a community that supports discovery, sparks curiosity and is sharing Australia’s rich and diverse history with the world.

With the generous support of our donors the National Museum of Australia is keeping the nation’s stories alive.

Make a donation

Your valued donation helps to develop and protect our collection and deliver education programs and exhibitions in Australia and overseas.

Make a collection offer

The Museum collects objects that are linked to key moments, people and places in Australia’s history. Help us build our national collection through a collection offer.

2024 Annual Appeal

Your support will enable us to care for the Norman Hetherington collection and share these remarkable objects with the world.

Encounters Fellowships Appeal

Your donation to our Encounters Fellowship Program helps support the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural leaders of the future.

Bequests

A legacy gift to the National Museum of Australia ensures future generations will experience the stories behind our nation’s rich and enduring history.

Your gift helps us to conserve and add to our collection, educate and entertain our visitors, create world-leading exhibitions, and push the boundaries through our groundbreaking outreach programs.

Join us at one of our upcoming bequest information events to discover more about how legacy gifts empower the work of the Museum – to tell stories that educate, empower and connect audiences.

Museum Bequest Circle

All donors who notify us of a bequest to the Museum in their will are invited to join the Museum Bequest Circle.

The community members of the Bequest Circle receive invitations to meet with our curatorial staff, attend expert lectures and experience the Museum after hours and behind the scenes.
