Join us for a family-friendly evening of First Nations culture and performing arts kicked off by a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony. Artists include Lucas Proudfoot, the Muggera family and the Riverbank Band.

Join us as the sun goes down and we conclude Australia Day with this relaxed, family-friendly concert, featuring Busby Marou, Nancy Bates and Dale Huddleston and the Riverbank Band, Sistas in Song and Muggera.

Odyssey family guide

Journey back in time and explore the lives of the Ancient Greeks with this fun guide, full of family activities for children aged 4 and over.

Two sessions: 10–11am or 11.30am – 12.30pm
A chance for children 3–5 years to enjoy fun art and craft activities inspired by Ancient Greeks. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Free fun at home instructions for kids on how to create their own Ancient Greece-inspired comic.

Includes video instructions by artist Naomi Zouwer. Suitable for children 5 years and up.

Museum family trails

Follow one of our family trails to discover the stories behind some of the amazing objects on show at the Museum. Two self-guided family trails are available, for ages 2–5 and 5–8 years. See what you can find along the way.
