Kung Fu workshop (non-contact)

Wednesday 17 July and Friday 19 July, 11.30am–1pm

Join members of the Yut Hung Kung Fu Academy and learn basic Kung Fu movements, drills and strikes before finishing with breathing and meditation techniques. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Dragons and scrolls: chill-out zone

15–19 July, 10am–1pm and 2–3.30pm

Be inspired by the paintings on display in the Historical Expression of Chinese Art exhibition. Contribute to our giant dragon scroll, create your own artwork or relax in the chill-out zone. Suitable for all ages, children must be accompanied by an adult.

Chinese festival day

Sunday 21 July, 10am–1pm

Join us as we celebrate the richness and diversity of Chinese art and culture at this free family festival day at the National Museum of Australia.

Visit The Historical Expression of Chinese Art exhibition in its final weeks on show. Enjoy calligraphy, food, music, dragon and lion dancing, and the rituals of a tea ceremony. Take part in family-friendly craft activities with artisans from the Chinese community in Australia.
