20th Birthday Campaign
This year the Museum turns 20, and to mark the anniversary we are launching the 20th Birthday Campaign.
The campaign is our response to the events of 2020 – your donations will help the Museum support and strengthen communities across the country who have been impacted by fire, drought and COVID-19.
As a donor to the 20th Birthday Campaign you can choose between three separate appeals, each focused on an area of need.
The Defining the Symbols of Australia Appeal will support a travelling exhibition, which will tour regional galleries, enable curators to visit and engage, and encourage a national conversation about what it means to be Australian.
Donations to the Care for a Car Appeal will help the National Museum to conserve its functioning vehicle collection – from Jack Brabham’s 1967 Repco-Brabham BT23A-1 V8 racing car to the 1923 5CV Citroen tourer.
The Encounters Fellowships Appeal focuses on providing Indigenous cultural workers with Fellowship positions at the Museum, and enabling research projects and placements at international cultural institutions.
In recognition of your support we will acknowledge you on our website, in our annual report and The Museum magazine. All donations over $2 are tax deductible.
