Dorcas Tinamayi Bennett

Born 1956, Tjarurru skin group.

Dorcas Tinamayi Bennett was born at Wurturu rock-hole near Kaltukatjarra (Docker River).

Her family was living in the Warakurna–Tjukurla area when they came into contact with Native Patrol Officer Bob Macaulay, who took them to Amata settlement in South Australia.

Eventually they were reunited with family in Warburton and joined the push to return to their homelands by firstly moving to Kaltukatjarra in 1968 and Warakurna in 1974.
