DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition is at the National Museum from 12 September 2019 until 2 February 2020, open 9am to 5pm daily except Christmas Day.

Due to the popularity of DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition, our car park is filling quickly. We suggest you Plan your visit and consider taking our free Culture Loop shuttle bus service, an Action bus or parking nearby and walking.

Parking is paid on weekdays and is managed by the National Capital Authority. More on parking.

Yes. The Museum Cafe is open 9am to 4.45pm daily. You can also bring a picnic and enjoy it in our Lakeside Amphitheatre.

Allow 60 to 90 minutes on average. Tickets are not timed.

Small bags under 30 cm, prams and wheelchairs. Food, drink, umbrellas and bags that can’t fit in a 30 cm box can’t be taken into our exhibitions, but we have a free cloakroom.

No. However, you can take a guided tour to see and experience the National Museum of Australia with one of our highly knowledgeable hosts. Hear the stories behind highlights of our collection, learn more about First Australians or enjoy the Ultimate Museum Experience.

Museum Friends receive a free ticket to DreamWorks Animation: The Exhibition plus discounts on exhibition entry and events, free entry for Mkids, and fast-pass entry. Members always receive a 10 per cent discount at the Museum Cafe and Shop.

The exhibition is just inside the Gandel Atrium, on our ground floor.

Ask our host staff about mobility access scooters. They are available from the Information Desk in the Gandel Atrium.
