Join us for tours, music, dance, demonstrations, games, fun and food inspired by our First Australians gallery and Rome exhibition. Free, though costs apply for some activities, including Rome exhibition entry.
Our festival begins at 10am with a Welcome to Country followed by Indigenous-themed activities including tours of our First Australians gallery and a weaving workshop with Ronnie Jordan (Kalkadoon).
Enjoy ‘Tastes of the Bush’ with Yurbay and Adam Shipp (Wiradjuri), and don’t miss seeing our free Bush Mechanics exhibition and films.
Experience the wonder of Ancient Rome with our roaming Romans, Rome-inspired craft activities, large-scale Roman board games, pop-up poets and curator talks.
As Australia Day draws to a close, join us on Acton Peninsula and get ready for the fireworks. Enjoy music with local DJ Disca-roo, play games on our lawn and grab a bite to eat at our Australia Day BBQ by Broadbean Catering.
