Selling Yarns 3: Weaving the nation's story
Thursday 28 February 2013, 9:00am to 5:00pmSelling Yarns 3: Weaving the nation’s story is a conference, workshop, market day and exhibition program that promotes textile and fibre craft and design practices of Indigenous artists.
It explores the place of Indigenous textile practices in the story of nation building in Australia. Its focus is to promote and share contemporary Indigenous textile practice, and to demonstrate that cultural practices can generate a dialogue that draws all interested parties together for the benefit of a rich and sustainable culture.
