Now in its ninth year this popular program features prominent women living and working in Canberra talking about their lives, work and passions.
Our speaker for October is Elizabeth Reid AO, feminist and academic and Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. Elizabeth is an Australian development practitioner, feminist and academic with a distinguished career in national and international public service. She founded, established and worked with a number of pioneering and specialised United Nations institutions, government agencies and non-governmental organisations. Reid was appointed the world's first advisor on women's affairs to a head of state by the Australian Labor Government of Gough Whitlam in 1973.
