Curator's talk: In the footsteps of Jeannie Gunn

Wednesday 10 October 2012, 6:00pm to 7:30pm

National Museum of Australia curator Anne-Marie Conde examines the work of Jeannie Gunn, author of The Little Black Princess (1905) and We of the Never Never (1908). The original diary that Gunn kept while at Elsey Station in the Northern Territory is on loan to the Museum and on display in the Landmarks gallery. Anne-Marie will share impressions from her June 2012 research trip to the site of the old Elsey Station homestead, considering how Gunn drew on her diary while writing the books.

Cost: $12, $8.00 friends (includes refreshments)
