'World Landscape Art Exposition in China'
Talk by Neil Hobbs, internationally renowned and highly awarded, Canberra-based landscape architect. China is staging a huge exposition May – October 2013. The site covers an area 3 kilometres x 1 kilometre in the new Jinzhou City on the edge of the Bohai Sea. Only 20 leading landscape architects from around the world have been asked to design gardens for the exposition and Canberra’s own Harris Hobbs (www.hhl.com.au) has created the only Australian garden: The Garden of the Southern Cross. Neil Hobbs will talk about the huge site and inspiring scheme, the individual gardens, his own creation, and the problems of working in China, all fully illustrated with photographs.
