Sophie Jensen
Sophie Jensen

Sophie Jensen is a Senior Curator and Research Fellow at the National Museum's Centre for Historical Research.

Sophie is undertaking her PhD on the life of naturalist John MacGillivray.

Sophie has worked at the National Museum since 1995, in areas including public programs, multimedia development and curatorial.

From 1999 to 2006 Sophie was responsible for the management and development of a range of exhibitions and targeted collecting projects.

She was part of the team that curated the Eternity gallery. Sophie also developed travelling exhibitions including Miss Australia, In Search of the Birdsville Track and Rare Trades.

Sophie has a degree in history and archaeology from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma of Cultural Heritage Management from the University of Canberra.
