Dr Paul Arthur

NATIONAL MUSEUM VISITING FELLOW 2007

Dr Paul Arthur is a Research Fellow at the Australia Research Institute, at Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia and an Adjunct Fellow of the Research School of Humanities at the Australian National University in Canberra.

Paul's research examines the impact of new technologies and media in the humanities, especially in the fields of digital history, digital biography and in the emerging area of e-research.

He has also published on colonial history and identity in Australia and the Pacific, the literature of European exploration and discovery, and the evolution of cartography.

Paul was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Murdoch University in Western Australia from 2003 to 2007. He has held visiting fellowships through Manning Clark House in Canberra, the Humanities Research Centre at the Australian National University, the Australian Academy of the Humanities, and the American Geographical Society Library and Center for 21st Century Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
