Bill Fox was awarded a National Museum of Australia Visiting Fellowship in 2008. While at the Museum he was working on his latest project called All Along the Line which includes the Uluru Line that forms part of the architecture of the National Museum.

Bill Fox is a writer, independent scholar and poet whose work is a sustained inquiry into how human cognition transforms land into landscape. His books include Making Time: Essays on the Nature of Los Angeles (2007), Driving to Mars (2006), Terra Antarctica: Looking into the Emptiest Continent (2005) and In the Desert of Desire: The Nature of Culture and the Culture of Nature in Las Vegas (2005). He lives in California and, among many other projects, works with the Center for Art + Environment at the Nevada Museum of Art.
