Kim Field
Kim was the facilitator of the Wentworth Basin Bytes Project. She moved to Wentworth in 2003, and is the Blueprint Implementation Officer (Environmental Officer) at the Wentworth Shire Council. She grew up on cattle and sheep stations in the Pooncarie/Menindee district.

Aboriginal boundary tree. Thegoa Lagoon, Murray River
This tree is located between Thegoa Lagoon and the Murray River, not far from the Thegoa Lagoon outlet. The Aboriginal tribes used to shape trees into a circle to mark the boundaries of their tribal areas.
Nagoora burr, Thegoa Lagoon
A group of volunteers from Conservation Volunteers Australia spent a full week at Thegoa Lagoon pulling Nagoora burr out by hand. You can see the definite line where they have finished, and the burr has now gone to seed.
Thegoa Lagoon outlet, Thegoa Lagoon
This is the area where a proposed fish passage will eventually take the place of the current 'Log Bridge'. This will allow fish to enter and live in the lagoon freely when it's full.
Recreation, Thegoa Lagoon
Here is a picture of a local, Renata Ryan, and her horses. She owns a small farm within the lagoon area, where she lives with her family.
North-east and western zone, Thegoa Lagoon
This is the middle area of the lagoon. It loops around in a moon shape, locking areas such as the grape vines within the loop.
Piezometers
Thegoa Lagoon
These piezometers are put in place at the lagoon to measure underground water levels and salt levels within the lagoon. We can then compare these levels to the lagoon water.
