Digital Landmarks 2012
A National Museum of Australia – Australian National University project
Explore this rich collection of new photographic, animated and video works from second year Digital Media and Photo Media students at the Australian National University School of Art.
These creative responses were inspired by historical material drawn from the National Museum of Australia gallery, Landmarks: People and Places across Australia.
Museum curators introduced Landmarks to the students. The students also considered archives as a holding place for memories, knowledge, secrets and more.
Working with rich 'shoeboxes' of images, recordings, text and other material from Landmarks, the students produced major new digital and photographic works as part of their course assessment in 2012.
Some of these works are profiled here.
