Humphrey No. 220: ‘A small Wand with a Tuft of Dog’s hair at the end, carried in the hand in processions by the Natives of Sandwich Isles.’

The wand is made of wood and is narrow. At the upper, thinner end, it is coated with the skin of a dog’s tail, which is wrapped with a string made of a plant material. This covers about 1.5 cm of the wand. Inken Köhler
