| Salinity: | 180µS (EC) |
| Dissolved oxygen: | 4.2mg/L 44% |
Ultima Thule Creek, sampled from a pool that is non-flowing, 1 foot deep.
ACT Waterwatch says:
Heavy use translates here to raised turbidity from erosion. Still water tends to heat up, and thus hold less oxygen.
Further, oxygen gets into water by agitation; still water by definition doesn't have this going on. Expect dead fish as the summer hots up, or fish that can get by with little oxygen, like carp — neither is a pleasant prospect.
About the site

Influenced by humans, middle of town, high recreation use, under foot bridge, near toilets, no native plants, in pool of non-flowing water, park and playground located nearby.
What's going on
Recreational use, no native plants, boulders in place to try to prevent erosion.
Tested for turbidity, dissolved oxygen content, pH, etc.
