Opening of Warlpiri Drawings: Remembering the Future

The Warlpiri Drawings: Remembering the Future exhibition opened at the National Museum of Australia on 14 August 2014.

Warlpiri Drawings displays important early works from the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies, in celebration of the institute's 50th anniversary.

The exhibition was produced by the National Museum of Australia in collaboration with the Australian National University and Warlpiri communities.

More than twenty Warlpiri people from Yuendumu and Lajamanu communities attended the celebrations as well as a group of children from Nyrripi School in the Northern Territory.
