The Friends magazine was produced for members of the Friends of the National Museum of Australia from 2002 to 2011. This award-winning publication partnered the Museum in telling Australian stories.
Friends magazine contained news of the Museum's scholarship, exhibitions, collections and events, along with a look at what other museums were doing across Australia and the globe.
Friends featured commentary on museum issues, news of innovative research, exhibition reviews and details of new acquisitions.
Friends was a high quality, full colour and contemporary publication. It was a flagship publication for the National Museum of Australia and the Friends who supported it. The Friends magazine has now been replaced with The Museum magazine.
