Warlpiri exhibition curator talk

Thursday, 21 August 10am to 12pm

Friends are invited to an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Warlpiri Drawings exhibition by curator Melinda Hinkson, followed by refreshments in the Friends Lounge.

Cost: Free full members only, limited numbers. Includes refreshments.

Rare books viewing: early settlement and navigation of Australia (Booked out)

Wednesday, 27 August 1.30pm to 3.30pm

An opportunity for Museum Friends to share a welcoming cup of tea in our members lounge and then attend a viewing of rare books held in the Museum Library. The theme is 'Early settlement and navigation of Australia' to coincide with the 200th anniversary of the deaths of Captain Matthew Flinders and Captain Arthur Phillip.

Cost: Free full members only, limited numbers. Includes refreshments.

Spirited: a behind-the-scenes event

Wednesday, 3 September 9am to 11am

Book early to secure your spot for an exclusive peek at the new exhibition Spirited: Australia’s Horse Story, before it opens to the public. Friends will hear curators talk about the making of the exhibition. Enjoy a personalised curator-led walk through the gallery, then relax in our Friends Lounge to enjoy a very spirited morning tea. Numbers are strictly limited to 30 so please book early!
