That [mission] building was the first stone building they made in Warburton. Mr Wade [the missionary] was living there with his wife and two children. Mr Wade would give sweets to all of the children. We were lining up to get those sweets in the afternoon.

Anna Porter was born at Milyatjarra, near Warburton mission.

'My family built a wiltja [shelter] to live in but I stayed in the home at the Warburton mission and went to school. When school was over we went out bush and collected bush tucker.'
