  • A parents room
  • Family friendly spaces
  • Prams for free loan from the Information Desk.

Small bags under 30 cm, prams and wheelchairs. Food, drink, umbrellas and bags that can’t fit in a 30cm box can’t be taken into our exhibitions, but we have a free cloakroom.

There’s two, a general tour and one specially for kids, and they’re free! We recommend you download our app, The Loop, before coming to the Museum, and bring your headphones. Accessible versions of both tours are available.

If you don’t have your own device, you can hire one for $5 from our Information Desk. We also have $6 earbuds available for purchase. They fit a standard 3.5 mm audio jack, and aren’t suitable for newer Apple devices.

Museum Friends receive Rome specials including a first ticket for $5, discounts on exhibition entry and events, free entry for Mkids, and fast-pass entry. Members always receive a 10 per cent discount at our cafe and shop.

The exhibition is just inside the Gandel Atrium, on our ground floor. The general and kids audio tours are available in Auslan, with captions and audio descriptions, through the Conexu Foundation’s OpenAccess Tours app.

In our special Rome shop as you exit the exhibition and online.

Gift tickets are available exclusively from our Information Desk.
