PAPUNYA PAINTING GALLERY

The Papunya Painting exhibition, on show at the National Museum in Canberra, includes many works on canvas, carvings and other objects. All works are part of the National Museum of Australia collection unless otherwise stated.

Tjitji gathering place

Tjitji children's activity space and various Papunya paintings in the gallery space.

The Papunya Painting exhibition includes a dedicated Tjitji gathering place for young visitors, at left. Children can hear traditional Dreaming stories and create journey stories using traditional painting icons.
