The WJ Macdonnell telescope film shoot
In September 2010 the Museum undertook a film shoot with astronomical engineer Hermann Wehner who demonstrated how to set up the Museum's 1883 astronomical telescope for an observing session. Hermann was closely involved in refurbishing the telescope to help return it to its nineteenth-century working condition.
The footage, shot by cinematographer, Geoff Ellis, will be used in an audiovisual program featuring in the Landmarks gallery as part of a multimedia interactive about Port Macquarie.
