A glimpse of Glorious Days: Australia 1913
Celebrate the vibrancy of Australia in 1913, when people optimistically embraced the modern world and all it offered, at a time just before the First World War.
Glorious Days: Australia 1913 is a National Museum of Australia exhibition on show in Canberra from 7 March to 13 October 2013.
Her Excellency Quentin Bryce, Governor-General of Australia, launched Glorious Days: Australia 1913 at the National Museum on 6 March 2013.
Ms Bryce highlighted the role of women in Australia and the importance of Indigenous culture as she took a retrospective look at the past 100 years and outlined her hopes for where Australia may go in the next 100 years.
