How did this family album happen?

When the National Museum of Australia and the Yugambeh Museum agreed to tell the story of Bilin Bilin in the Museum, both institutions agreed that it was important to let people know that we were telling a story of a community that was alive today, not just one that belonged in the past. Rory O'Connor of the Yugambeh Museum put out the call on the local media for descendants of Bilin Bilin to contact the Yugambeh centre to bring in their family photos. There was a great response! And no doubt there will plenty more around Australia and around the world who will want to become part of Bilin Bilin's 'family album'.

Here are just some of the many thousands of descendants of Bilin Bilin.
