Black Mist Burnt Country: Testing the Bomb. Maralinga and Australian Art is an award-winning national touring exhibition of artworks telling the story of British atomic testing in Australia during the 1950s.

Black Mist Burnt Country was previously on show at the National Museum of Australia from 24 August to 18 November 2018.

Exhibition highlights

The exhibition featured works from public and private collections by more than 30 Indigenous and non-Indigenous artists including Sidney Nolan, Jonathan Kumintjarra Brown, Arthur Boyd, Rosemary Laing, Pam Debenham, Toni Robertson, Judy Watson, Hilda Moodoo, Albert Tucker, Yvonne Edwards and more.
