From function to fashion
Twentieth-century innovation across the industry, from the way wool is grown to the way it is treated and used, has resulted in new fabrics and new ways of wearing wool.
The heavy woollen garments of the past, which made a virtue of wool's durability and warmth, have given way to much lighter, finer and more fluid woollen fabrics. Designers through the decades continue to be inspired by the amazing versatility of this ancient fibre.
