Aim

The aim of this program is to introduce students to the Museum's main themes of land, nation and people through a brief tour of the permanent exhibitions.

Outline

The program has two main components

  1. Introduction – students explore the Museum in small groups with Education staff and discuss several key objects in the exhibitions.
  2. Gallery visits – under the supervision of their teachers, students return to the galleries to explore the Museum further, building on the understandings gained through the tour.

This program needs to adhere to a tight schedule. Please assist by having your students divided into four groups. Each group will follow a separate route through the Museum. At the end of the tour the groups will meet again at a designated point. From here, students can continue their exploration of the Museum under the supervision of their teachers.
