2008 winners - sharing the sands

Below are the winners of the 2008 'Sharing the sands' artwork competition.

To complement the Between the Flags: 100 Years of Lifesaving exhibition, the National Museum of Australia invited primary and secondary school students from around Australia to produce artworks depicting their vision of the beach and enter them in a competition entitled Sharing the Sands.

All entries received were of a high standard with safety and leisure featuring as prominent themes.

1st Prize, Primary Category: Genevieve Somerville, Axedale Victoria
