This unit of work uses stories presented in the Museum's Eternity gallery to develop the skills of communication, investigation and empathy. Students are asked to think about the meaning and messages of objects, and the ways in which they help to tell people's stories. In the final activity students are encouraged to apply what they have learned by creating their own Eternity display. Topics include:
- introducing the ten emotive themes in the Eternity gallery
- interrogating, interpreting and discussing objects, images and photographs in a museum
- creating your own display from objects, images and photographs
