Description
A brick making machine designed by Walter Burley Griffin, made to produce 'Knitlock' bricks. The machine has four legs that are attached to a wider metal component. This central part of the machine has two main parts that protrude out from it. One of these is an arm that has a rectangular end that is formed by five metal bars. Underneath this arm is a cog which can be turned using a handle attached beneath the arm. The other part that attaches to the centre does not protrude as far and has two arms that attach either side of a metal square that has a cross in the centre of it. There is a pedal at the base of the machine. It is currently bolted to a pallet.
