Description
A wooden canoe carved in one piece. The supports for the cross pieces and mast step are carved from the main form of the canoe. The cross pieces are held in position with adhesive. The outer surface is decorated with bands of pigment and figurative images on a dotted background. The inner surface is pigmented in red. The bow and stern is covered in white pigment. There is a length of fibre string inside the canoe.
