Thomas Mitchell's 1830s Journeys

Description
Thomas Mitchell explored the country between the Castlereagh and Gwydir Rivers, in northern New South Wales, between 1831 and 1832. In 1835, he traced the Darling for 500kms to the Menindee Lakes, in the western districts. In 1836, he followed the Lachlan and Murrumbidgee to the Murray and on to the Port Phillip District, in what was to become the colony of Victoria.
