Macquarie appointed Governor

Description
Lieutenant Colonel Lachlan Macquarie arrived in New South Wales with his regiment in 1809 to re-assert control in the aftermath of the 'rum rebellion'. His troops replaced the NSW Corps and the rebellion's leaders, Major George Johnston and John Macarthur, were sent to England for courts martial.
