Visit of the Uranie
Description
The French exploration ship L'Uranie, commanded by Captain Louis de Freycinet, visited Sydney late in 1819. On board was the artist Jacques Arago, who published a narrative of his voyage and spent much of his time in Sydney observing people and their ways of life.
